Forget Spring Cleaning – Try Spring Learning!

Griffin Free is hopping with great learning opportunities for everyone this month. Kids are invited to share in our regular Tuesday afternoon storytimes from 3:30-4:30, and to attend these special events this month:

  • Wed., April 3rd (6:30-7:30) – “G is for Goofy Games” – Stories and funny games with Miss Mary and your storytime friends!
  • Sat., April 13th (10:30-11:30) – Earth Day Storytime – Join us for an outdoor lesson on “reuse and recycle”, weather permitting, along with the regular storytime!
  • Wed., April 24th (1:00-2:00) – American Girl Tea Party! – Bring your best etiquette for this “tea party” designed around the American Girl doll collection. Please sign up early for this event, as space is limited!
  • Sat., April 27th (10:30-11:30) – Pirate Party – Join the hunt for buried treasure and learn all about the scalawags of the sea in this exciting storytime!

For adults, we are offering two more classes this month, in which you can learn how to take best advantage of the services that Griffin Free has to offer. On Thursday, April 4th from 6:30-7:30, we have Introduction to KOHA: Online Account and Catalog. Learn about our new computer system that you can use from home, and learn the tips and tricks to make your online use of Griffin Free the most worthwhile it can be.

Then on Monday, April 22nd we will host a repeat of the NH Downloadable Books class originally held early in the year. This is your latest chance to learn all about getting ebooks and audiobooks for use on your smartphone, tablet, e-reader, home computer, laptop, mp3 player, or other device. The class will have something to offer both seasoned users and those new to the Downloadable Books website. Please note that this class was originally scheduled for Monday, April 15th. The date has been changed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Registration is not necessary for either adult class.

We hope to see you for these exciting opportunities at Griffin Free this month!
