Griffin Free Public Library – Auburn, NH

Where Auburn Comes Together!

Library Card Sign Up Month

Are you one of the 64% of Americans that have a library card?* If not, now’s the time to change that! You already know that you can borrow books, audio books and movies from the library which is a huge cost savings in itself. But, did you know that a library card also gives you the ability to:

  1. Download ebooks at home
  2. Stream movies at home
  3. Stream audiobooks on your smartphone
  4. Download digital magazines at home
  5. Borrow table-top games such as Mahjong and Carcassonne
  6. Borrow a telescope
  7. Meet new people at library programs and events
  8. Learn to knit or crochet
  9. Borrow Museum Passes
  10. Access databases for research
  11. Connect to free Wi-Fi

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide join together to remind parents, caregivers and students that signing up for a library card is the first step towards academic achievement and lifelong learning. It is also the time we like to remind people of the value of the library and how much you can save by using your local library.

How much money can you save?  Visit our Library Value Calculator to total your savings.

How can you get your library card? Stop by Griffin Free Public Library. Library cards are free to residents as well as to those who work in Auburn. Questions? Contact Griffin Free Public Library at 603.483.5374 or director@griffinfree.org.
