Where Auburn Comes Together!

Free Genealogy Forms Online

The National Genealogical Society (frequently referred to as NGS) exhists to help individuals learn about their family history.  A non-profit organization headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia, they are a leader in the field in teaching genealogical research skills and providing a pathway to scholarly work.

Although the majority of their resources require you to purchase a membership, they do have some free online learning resources which include the three basic forms used in genealogy:

  • Basic Pedigree Chart
  • Standard Pedigree Chart
  • Family Group Sheet

What is particularly nice about these forms is that you may download them to your computer, type in your ancestor’s information and then save it to your computer. This can be a much neater way to use these forms then printing them and then handwriting the information.

Check them out and see what you think!
