CANCELED: Due to the current pandemic and in keeping in line with state and federal recommendations, all programming at Griffin Free Public Library is being canceled through May 11, 2020. Thank you for your understanding.
Genealogy Club meets once a month at Griffin Free Public Library. This group is open to novice family historians and experts alike. Each month, we will spend some time learning about different resources and research methods to help you document your family history. We will then spend time having members share tips they have learned and request help from other members.
Our next meeting will be on Saturday, March 21 from 10:00 AM – Noon. During the first hour, presenter Bill Rohr will demonstrate Family Tree Maker. Family Tree Maker is one of the software options available to individuals to build their family tree on their own computer. Come learn how to use this software and the benefits of documenting your family tree using this software.
During the second hour, we will also have members share tips they have learned as well as any research road blocks that they have hit for the group to try and solve.
Bring your mobile computer and get some work done with a fun and supportive group. Light refreshments will be served.
