If you are in need of a mobile hotspot device, Griffin Free Public Library now has four Sprint Coolpad Surfs (mobile hotspots) available for patrons thanks to a CARES Act grant from New Hampshire Humanities. These devices allow you to connect up to 10 other devices via WIFI access on the go (laptops, tablets, etc.) and access mobile data via the Sprint Network. To reserve a hotspot please login to our catalog and place a hold here: Sprint Mobile Hotspot Coolpad.
These devices can be used when you have a need for mobile data. They can be used anywhere there is coverage via the Sprint Network. Check-out requires signing a lending agreement, limited to one device per family, and you must schedule an appointment to return inside the library. Unfortunately, they cannot be returned via our drop box due to their fragile nature. Each hotspot comes with instructions, a charger and cable, and padded carrying case.
Your ability to access mobile data may be limited by physical location. See Sprint coverage areas if you need additional information and search on your location. Enter your location and search on device (upper right) “Coolpad Surf” for best results. Click here for Sprint’s coverage map: Sprint Coverage Area. Sprint is now a part of T-Mobile.
Here is a sample of the coverage area around our location at 22 Hooksett Road in Auburn, NH:
