Yes, we are open by appointment! We also continue to provide our very popular Porch Pick-Up option.
As of this writing, nearly half of the public libraries in NH are not allowing patrons in their buildings due to the pandemic, including Hooksett, Portsmouth, and Manchester Public Libraries. Each public library has a unique set of circumstances from facility layout to staffing availability to COVID-19 levels in their communities, that need to be taken into consideration. As the situation changes, each library has to adjust their service levels accordingly.
Fortunately, we are currently in a good position and can provide library card holders appointments to browse. You can choose to browse either the entrance room [where we have moved all of our New Adult Books, Audios, DVD’s, Large Print and Young Adult titles in addition to our Adult Fiction collection] or the Children’s Room via the patio entrance.
I am happy to discuss with you how library services have been adapted due to the pandemic in more detail. I can be reached at 603.483.5374 or at director@griffinfree.org.
Wishing you all a happy and safe New Year.
Kathy Growney, Library Director
