The Board of Trustees of the Griffin Free Public Library is very pleased to announce that we have hired Dan Szczesny as our new Library Director.
Dan has been one of our staff librarians for six years and is already knowledgeable about our library and the Town of Auburn. During his time at the library, he’s managed and planned the library’s successful Summer Author Series, and most recently taken the lead on the Town Day Duck Race Author Alley at the library.
He is also a long time journalist, travel writer and published author of multiple books. As a writer and presenter he has visited hundreds of New England libraries and has developed a vast network of library directors. And as a journalist he has worked with many local government agencies and has experience working with town hall and writing grant requests. For all these and many other qualifications we are excited that Dan has accepted this new position.
Please join us in congratulating Dan on his new position and stop by the library to say hello!
