Museum Passes

Other than our regular services, our museum passes are easily the most requested items at Griffin Free. Museum passes are available on a first come basis and cannot be put on hold. Museum passes are provided by the Friends of Griffin Free Public Library and are subject to change without notice. We currently have the following passes available:

Canterbury Shaker Village (Canterbury, NH) – Expires November 29, 2020

Free general admission for up to 2 adults and 2 children. Additional family members are admitted for half price. Children 5 and under are free.

Currier Museum of Art (Manchester, NH) – Expires October 31, 2021

50% off general admission for up to 2 adults (18 years and over) and all youth family members (ages 13 – 17); children 12 years and under are free; excluding members only events, member discount at the museum shop, Zimmerman House and special ticketed exhibitions. Please check the Currier’s website for up-to-date COVID information.

McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center (Concord, NH) – Expires 3/31/21

Free general admission for up to 4 adults/children; excluding programs, planetarium shows and special events.

Millyard Museum (Manchester, NH) via the Manchester Historic Association Pass

Free admission to the Exhibit Galleries during public opening hours for up to 4 adults/children; excluding programs and special events.

New England Aquarium (Boston, MA)

Obtaining the library’s discount pass does not guarantee entrance to the Aquarium. You will also need to reserve your spot with the Aquarium. Contact the Aquarium for details.

Each discount coupon admits up to four people for a reduced admission rate. Reduced-rate admission payment must be paid at the Aquarium Box Office to gain entry. Children under the age of 3 are not included in the admission count and are always admitted free. Complete rules are available at Griffin Free.

New Hampshire State ParksExpires 12/31/20

Each pass is valid for the date listed on the pass. The pass grants admission for two adults and four children to any day-use park at no additional charge. Not valid at the Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway, the Flume Gorge, Hampton Beach State Park – South Beach, Wallis Sands State Park, or metered parking. The pass may not be used for camping fees.

This pass does not guarantee access to the park in the event is full to capacity.  Due to the COVID-19 virus, our parks are currently operating a maximum of 50% of our normal capacity. Due to our decreased capacity, we have moved to advanced day-use reservations at all of our parks. When requesting a reservation, you will be charged a $1 non-refundable reservation fee.  Additionally, you can indicate that you are a Library Pass holder and the admission fee to the park will be removed and you will only be charged the $1 reservation fee.  

Research Center (Manchester, NH) via the Manchester Historic Association Pass

Free admission for up to 4 adults/children; excluding programs and special events.

Seacoast Science Center (Rye, NH)

Opening July 4, 2020 for Saturdays and Sundays ONLY at 50% capacity. Visitors must book a time for their visit online in advance at the Seacoast Science Center Online Member Reservation form. You will also need to pick up a library pass to obtain the 50% off benefit for two adults and up to four children or grandchildren. Please note that summer visitors must pay the Odieorne Point State Park admission fee at the same time you make your reservation. All visitors over the age of 10 will be asked to wear masks. Please contact the Seacoast Science Center for details.

SEE Science Center (Manchester, NH) – Expires July 22, 2020

Free general admission for two individuals per pass; excluding special exhibits and events.
