Get a Library Card

Free Cards

Griffin Free Public Library cards are free to Auburn residents as well as to anyone who works within the town of Auburn. Children may apply for their own library cards (with a parent or guardian) as long as they are six or older.

You may apply for a free card at the library or begin the process online by clicking the button below. Library staff will set up a patron account for you using the information supplied online, but you must stop by the library and show proof of Auburn residency or employment within Auburn before the card will be issued. If you are unable to come to the library to get your card, please contact us at staff@griffinfree.org or 603-483-5374 to provide an alternate means of confirming your eligibility.

Non-Resident Cards

Full-privilege cards are available to New Hampshire residents for a six month period for $20 or for one year for $35. Fees for cards are not refundable, cannot be prorated to shorter terms, and are not applicable to “upgrade” for longer periods.

Full-privilege cards are available for out-of-state residents within the United States for $100 for a one-year period. Fees for cards are not refundable, cannot be prorated to shorter terms, and are not applicable to “upgrade” for longer periods. Out-of-state residents must pay for cards in advance of issuance.

If you live outside of Auburn, please contact Griffin Free Public Library directly at 603-483-5374 or staff@griffinfree.org to apply for a card and arrange payment of non-resident fees.
