The theme for the 2026 Summer Reading Program is “Plant a Seed, Read” and we have fun programs and events in store for every age group! This year’s theme is rooted in the concept of farm-to-table. A farm grows food that nourishes our bodies; a library grows ideas that nourish our minds. Both food and stories connect us to our family, culture, economy, and ecology.
Beginning June 17, use our Beanstack platform to start recording your books or pages read to win prizes. Children (ages 6 to 12) and teens (ages 13 to 17) record pages, and youngsters (0 through age 5) and adults over 18 record books. All books must be age appropriate — parents, that storybook that you read to your child won’t count for you, but it will for your preschooler!
Adults receive raffle tickets towards prizes, Teens and Children will choose prizes for certain number of pages they read and youngsters will be able to track their books with stickers!
Adult read more than 225 books and our teens and children read over 91,000 pages last summer! Let’s beat those totals this year!
