This is a busy fall at the library! Just take a look at a few of the many changes and updates:
- Oversized Games: Did you know that the library has two oversized games that you can check out or play right at the library? We have Four in a Row (like Connect Four) and the Tumbling Tower Game (like Jenga) and both are perfect for your house party or game night!
- New Classics Section: We’ve created new space and new section for all the fiction classics, from Twain to Hemingway to Morrison. Our new section is located right near the circulation desk, next to audiobooks.
- New Storytime Day: We’re moving Friday’s weekly Storytime to Thursday instead. So now, weekly Storytimes will take place on Tuesdays at 11am and Thursdays at 1pm.
- Community Resources Page: This month, we’re introducing a brand-new section of our website simply called “Community Resources.” Divided into sections such as Housing, Seniors and Children and Family, the page offers residents a one-stop location for everyday resources. Give it a look and tell us what you think!
- Library of Things: We now have a working Library of Things policy in place and that means our metal detector, guitar, bread maker and so much more is available for you to check out! Come see what we have and let us know what else you’d like to see!
- Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin: All through October, we’ll have a pumpkin on display in the kids’ room. Kids 10 and under can guess its weight to win prizes!
